Katie Smither
Katie Smither is an Opto-mechanical Technician who helps to maintain large telescope mirrors, instrument optics, and laser beams that are used to help humans look farther into the cosmos from Earth. She's currently working just south of the Atacama Desert in Chile for an organization that manages telescopes all over the world, particularly Arizona, Hawai'i, and Chile, and at times, has the opportunity to travel between the telescope sites.
