Join us for a Nature Book Guide Event!

We’re excited to announce our first Nature Book Guide public event! Join us in Iowa City (UNESCO City of Literature) at the independent bookstore, Sidekick Coffee and Books at 1 pm, Friday, April 28.

Nature Book Guide Founder/editor, Beth Nobles, will be presenting favorite recommendations from our first three issues of Nature Book Guide, plus a sneak peek at the upcoming Summer issue. Attendees will get to suggest books we might cover in future issues, and will get to weigh in on cover images for the issue set to release to the public on June 1.

A huge thanks to the kind friends at Sidekick Coffee and Books and Body Moves Fitness and Wellness Center, who invited us to town to participate in their weeklong World Tai Chi Day festivities.

Beth Nobles-Founder/Editor of Nature Book Guide

As a high school student in the Youth Conservation Corps, Beth built trails and trail bridges in Illinois state parks. Mid-career, she led the Texas Mountain Trail as Executive Director for a decade, and through a partnership with Texas Parks and Wildlife, developed the Far West Texas Wildlife Trail and map. Before retiring in 2021, she led the Sand Creek Regional Greenway Partnership, an organization supporting an urban trail along a riparian corridor in the Denver metro area. She's organized countless volunteer opportunities to connect others to science and the outdoors; founding the Nature Book Guide was another effort to do the same.
